Rev. Wayne Chung, Pastor

We are heartbroken to let you know that Pastor Wayne passed away peacefully at home January 13, 2019. The family is grateful for the prayers and support of the Faith community during this long, difficult period. Please keep Esther, Jim and Haniee in your prayers.

Pastor Wayne was appointed to Faith Church on July 1, 2018. He previously served as the lead pastor at Friendship United Methodist Church in Friendship, Maryand. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, and a Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary, in Washington, DC.

Pastor Wayne has been married to his wife, Esther, for 39 years. They have two grown children, both of whom graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, MD. Their daughter Haniee is a surgeon at Johns Hopkins. Their son Jim is a Federal agent in Washington, DC. The real boss of the household, however, is Tank, a seven year old Shi Tzu.
